About the Role West Division is an engineering department that works with advanced operation and maintenance of our customers' high-voltage installations, stations, and switchgear, primarily in control systems. The department's employees are stationed in Trollhättan, Gothenburg, Jönköping, and Borås. As a manager, you are responsible for approximately 24 employees where the division's main work is in West Gothia and Jönköping counties. We work in close collaboration with other operations within Vattenfall Services, so other assignments may also be part of your daily work. We operate in a fast-moving and dynamic part of the business, and we collaborate with several different parties including hydropower producers, grid operators, grid operators' end customers, and industries. As a department manager, you work with developing the department's employees and operations in a business-oriented environment where safety is the highest priority. Examples of responsibilities and tasks: Personnel and resource planning, keeping yourself and the division updated on services and safe work practices, and working on further development and monitoring of methods and our deliverables Development of existing employees and actively working to expand the department Finances: forecasting, budgeting, and operations monitoring as well as business analysis The division is part of Vattenfall Services' national Business Area Technology. You will report to the business area manager and be part of their management team, together with managers in other regions facing similar challenges. In this management group, there are excellent opportunities to contribute to the continued growth and development of the entire business area. Requirements Specification You are a leader who contributes with commitment, openness, and a strong focus on work environment and safety. You have several years of experience working as a leader with personnel responsibility and have great drive regarding employee development and engagement. We would like to see that you have experience with customer and supplier relations, financial monitoring, and contract management. Experience from the electrical power industry is a merit. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities where you are a committed leader who has the ability to unite and motivate your employees. As a leader, you are responsive, clear, and present. You look out for the group's best interests while maintaining a business-oriented drive. You are an initiative-taking and communicative person who has strong intrinsic motivation to support the development of the business, the people within it, and our operations. Further, we see that you have good IT skills, a category B driver's license, and the ability to travel on business as employees are located in multiple cities and trips to Stockholm occur. You speak and write both Swedish and English fluently.
