About the Role Department South North is an engineering department that works with advanced operation and maintenance of our customers' high-voltage facilities, substations, switchgear, and particularly control systems. The department's employees are stationed in southern and central Norrland, primarily in Umeå, Sollefteå, and Sundsvall. As a manager, you will be responsible for approximately 18 employees where the department's main work is in central Norrland. We work in close collaboration with other operations within Vattenfall Services, so other assignments may also be part of your daily work. We operate in a fast-changing part of the business and collaborate with several different parties including hydropower producers, network operators, network operators' end customers, and industries. As a department manager, you will work on developing the department's employees and operations in a business-oriented environment where safety is the highest priority. Examples of responsibilities and tasks: Staff and resource planning, keeping yourself and the department updated on services and safe working methods, and working on the development and monitoring of methods and our delivery Development of existing employees and actively working to expand the department Finances: forecasting, budgeting, operations monitoring, and business analysis The department is part of Vattenfall Services' national Business Area Technology. You will report to the business area manager and be part of their management group, together with managers in other regions facing similar challenges. In this management group, there are excellent opportunities to contribute to the continued growth and development of the entire business area. Requirements You are a leader who contributes with commitment, openness, and a strong focus on work environment and safety. You have several years of experience working as a manager with personnel responsibility and have great drive regarding employee development and engagement. We would prefer that you have experience with customer and supplier relationships, financial monitoring, and contract management. Experience from the electrical power industry is a merit. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities – you are an engaged leader with the ability to unite and motivate your employees. As a leader, you are responsive, clear, and present. You look out for the group's best interests while maintaining a business-oriented drive. You are an initiative-taking and communicative person with strong personal motivation to support the development of the business, the people within it, and our operations. Furthermore, we see that you have good IT skills, a B driving license, and the ability to travel for work as employees are located in multiple cities and travel to Stockholm occurs.
