Learn more about what it's like to work here About the Role Do you want to lead an operation that truly matters? Every day, people and businesses take for granted that electricity works. For this to be possible, many parts of the energy system must work together, and one of them is metering. Meter data is the foundation for customers to be able to monitor their energy consumption, receive accurate invoices, and take advantage of future energy services. The field is developing rapidly and plays an important role in the energy transition. Do you want to make a real difference to help Sweden succeed with the energy transition and reach climate targets? This is an exciting and important role where, as a department manager for metering, you will be involved in developing this operation for the future. About the Role As a department manager, you are responsible for an operation with many contact points and an important mission. You lead through other management roles, specialists, and teams, and you create conditions for the operation to function, develop, and deliver with high quality. The role is about finding the balance between long-term development and daily delivery. You need to be able to create direction when much is changing, make decisions when needed, and at the same time build a culture where people take responsibility and succeed together. You will work closely with your management colleagues, other parts of the operation, and our IT and development teams. Together we drive the development of working methods, processes, and capabilities needed for the energy system of the future. Your Main Areas of Responsibility Lead and develop the operation toward set goals. Create good conditions for collaboration, delivery, and development. Drive improvement work and operational development. Ensure that customer and operational needs are translated into efficient working methods and solutions. Contribute to the development of the entire department and Vattenfall Eldistribution. You are a leader who builds trust by being clear, receptive, and consistent. It is important to you that you lead by creating clarity, trust, and good conditions for others to succeed. You believe in the power of different perspectives and know that sustainable results are created when people develop and take responsibility together. Further, you thrive in environments where change is a natural part of the operation and where success is created through collaboration rather than hierarchy. This is a role for someone who wants to be involved in developing both the operation and people. You don't need to be an expert in everything, but you need to be a leader who can create direction, build trust, and get people to work toward the same goal. If this type of leadership motivates you, we hope you will want to be part of our journey. We believe you have: Experience in a management position with operational responsibility.
