Description We are seeking an experienced leader who wants to take overall responsibility for distribution and help develop a joint, robust, and sustainable water and sewage operation. You will have the opportunity to combine an important societal mission with strategic development work, while staying close to the operational activities and the people who keep everything running. As Distribution Division Manager, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and sewage pipeline network and for ensuring safe and reliable distribution of drinking water as well as the removal of wastewater and stormwater. The division is also responsible for water meter operations. The Division Manager is part of the company's management team and has overall responsibility for the division through two subordinate unit managers, who have personnel responsibility for a total of 37 employees. The role suits you if you can switch between the operational and strategic levels. You need to understand the daily reality of operations and maintenance, be able to engage with employees and build trust, but also have the ability to see what needs to be developed and what direction the operation should take. As a newly formed company, we are facing the task of creating common working methods and a strong shared culture. For you, this means an opportunity to work with your managers and employees to develop the organization, working methods, and collaboration between the operations that are now brought together in a single company. Responsibilities You lead and develop the operation and maintenance of the water and sewage pipeline network. You are responsible for emergency preparedness and management of operational disruptions and crisis situations, and you ensure that the operation has the right competencies and resources to meet both acute and long-term needs. An important part of your mission is to develop maintenance systems, working methods, and organization with a focus on efficient resource use, economic sustainability, and robust operations. You therefore need to be able to see both the details of the operation and the bigger picture. You create the conditions for your unit managers to succeed in their assignments and lead them toward common goals. Qualifications We are looking for someone with several years of leadership experience in water and sewage, roads, facilities, or other technical infrastructure. You have practical anchoring and understanding of operations and service reliability. You have higher education or a university degree in, for example, roads and water, civil engineering, or construction engineering, or equivalent experience that we consider equivalent. We would like to see that you have: experience managing through managers or supervisory functions good understanding of water and sewage pipeline networks experience in change management and business development ability to combine operational understanding with strategic thinking experience with contracting in water and sewage, roads, or other technical infrastructure As a person, you are a present and trust-building leader who enjoys being close to operations. You have the ability to create engagement and clarity even when the organization and working methods are undergoing change. You dare to challenge established practices, drive development, and give your managers the conditions to grow in their roles.
