About the role As a Transportation Department Manager, you lead and develop a growing department with strong customer focus. You are responsible for employees, work environment, quality, and results – and work closely with the site manager, customers, and colleagues to create a secure, efficient, and future-oriented distribution. Your main areas of responsibility ·Lead, coach, and create the right conditions for employees to succeed in their daily work. ·Plan staffing, resources, and follow-ups so that operations run smoothly and efficiently. ·Drive work environment, quality, and improvements with focus on both people and results. ·Maintain close customer contact and find solutions for urgent assignments, new customer needs, and existing customers' requests. ·Contribute to smart, cost-conscious solutions for new assignments, changes, and route optimization. Who are you? We believe you are a secure and engaged leader who enjoys creating direction, participation, and trust. You likely have experience with personnel responsibility and a good understanding of transportation, distribution, or other operational activities where people, customers, and planning need to work together. You enjoy close customer dialogue and have an easy time understanding needs, seeing opportunities, and finding solutions that create value. This could involve urgent assignments, new requests, existing customers' needs, or upselling opportunities. With business acumen, structure, and a holistic perspective, you help the transportation company continue to grow sustainably. To thrive and succeed in this role, we'd like to see that some of the following experiences and qualities apply to you: ·Experience leading people and creating engagement in an operational setting. ·Understanding of transportation, distribution, or other operations where planning, quality, costs, and people need to work together. ·Ability to create structure, follow up, and find improvements that make daily work simpler and more efficient. ·Experience with customer dialogue and an interest in finding solutions that work for both the customer and the business. ·Confident and clear communication, preferably in both Swedish and English. ·Class B driver's license, as travel in operations will occur. ·Experience with digital tools and good knowledge of the Office suite. ·Experience with route optimization or transport economics is a bonus.
