Department Manager

About the Position We are now looking for a Department Manager for our client who wants to take on a key role in a well-established industrial operation. The operation is looking for: A leader who can create the conditions for an efficient and well-functioning production flow. You will be a natural focal point for production and are responsible for ensuring that the operation meets its goals in quality, productivity, and delivery reliability. What the Role Entails Your Assignment You lead the daily operations for approximately 8–12 employees. Through planning, prioritization, and follow-up, you ensure that resources are used optimally. You work closely with management and play a central role in the operation's development. Areas of Responsibility • Lead morning meetings and distribute work tasks. • Ensure that work is performed according to drawings, work orders, and quality requirements. • Optimize production flows and minimize operational disruptions. • Monitor productivity, quality, and delivery precision. • Ensure high compliance with occupational health and safety requirements. • Report production status and resource needs to management. • Drive continuous improvements and efficiency initiatives. Qualifications We Are Looking for Someone Who: Has several years of experience from a workshop, manufacturing industry, or steel processing. You have documented experience in work management and feel confident making decisions, prioritizing resources, and motivating employees. Qualifications: • Experience in workshop or manufacturing industry. • Good understanding of production processes and production control. • Experience with CAD and blueprint reading. • Experience with steel structures, carbon steel, or welding manufacturing is a plus. • Strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. • Good system and computer skills.
