The profession involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring security procedures are followed. The work can range from alarm responses and access control to reporting irregularities and cooperating with police or other authorities. Qualifications Beyond the personal qualities we seek and describe, you must meet basic requirements to be qualified for the position: High school diploma or equivalent Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Driver's license category B You must be at least 18 years old by your first day of employment. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, chapter 8 and appendix 2, which restrict minors' ability to perform work tasks in security and surveillance-related operations. You must also be of good standing (no criminal record)*, be drug-free, have stable finances, and have good health and physical fitness to be employed at Avarn Security. Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public-facing environments. If you have the right profile for Avarn and you advance in the process but don't already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we will provide your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA (the Security Industry's Professional and Occupational Health Board). Participation in this training is a requirement for employment.
