Automation Engineer - Industrial Machine Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced automation engineer with a focus on PLC and/or Robot programming who wants to join our automation team at Camatec. ABOUT THE JOB In this role, you will primarily program and commission automation solutions. You will work through the entire chain – from concept to operational machine. Your responsibilities will include: Participate in concept development for automation solutions and production equipment. Program and commission industrial robots (primarily ABB robots). Program and commission PLC systems (primarily Siemens). Work hands-on with machines and equipment – installation, commissioning, testing, FAT, SAT. Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems in production. Prepare technical documentation. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for someone with extensive experience in fully automated production equipment with advanced machine and production development. Additionally, we see that you: Have extensive experience programming Robots (preferably ABB) and/or PLC systems (preferably Siemens) in industrial automation. Have experience working with machines, production equipment, and commissioning these on-site at customer locations. Have a structured and analytical approach to work – you see and consider the bigger picture. Value cross-functional collaboration – PLC programming, Robotics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, production – and can communicate technical solutions clearly. Hold Swedish citizenship as we have multiple defense projects. Preferably speak and write fluent Swedish and English. Hold a Class B driver's license. Meritorious: Experience with SCADA systems (preferably Ignition) / PLC programming / communication protocols / electrical schematic reading / machine safety / documentation.
