We are now looking for several experienced Automation and Communications Engineers who want to help build the maintenance operations of the future! We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest initiatives ever – a historic concentration of forces to build stronger, more resilient and entirely independent capacity within maintenance and repair. Areas of Responsibility and Work Tasks We are now looking for Automation and Communications Engineers who want to strengthen our technical department. In the Technology & Control Systems Department, approximately 50 engineers work with specialized expertise in automation, communications, control equipment and design. Here you will meet colleagues who are passionate about technology, enjoy sharing their knowledge and take great responsibility for both quality and safety. Your Role as Automation and Communications Engineer Participate in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of automation and communications equipment Participate in projects for refurbishment and new construction of automation and communications solutions and ensure implementation of new, ongoing projects within the area Help develop design, procure materials, design, implement, install and commission systems Manage supplier and contractor relationships Our work takes place in environments that sometimes involve significant heights and potential risks, which means safety and risk awareness are always at the center. At the same time, our daily work is characterized by collaboration, problem-solving and the opportunity to work closely with the technology that keeps Sweden's electricity grid running. Travel is a natural part of the work, mostly during the day but overnight trips also occur. Requirements Specification Our working approach is characterized by freedom with responsibility and as a person you are therefore driven by taking on challenges, solving problems and reaching set goals. Since you will have contact with both internal and external contacts, we are looking for someone who is service-oriented and enjoys working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. In addition to your personal qualities, we would like you to have: Education in telecommunications, automation or electrical power, or alternatively equivalent practical experience that the employer deems equivalent Several years of experience working in telecommunications, automation or electrical power Experience with technology such as fiber optics and radio-based communications, for example 4G and radio links, station bus-based networks according to the IEC61850 standard and IP-based networks You find it easy to express yourself in both Swedish and English in writing and speech. A Class B driving license is a requirement.
