We're Looking for You An Audio System Design Engineer who wants to take a central role in an R&D team. You will help define the future of electronic solutions within our client's product portfolio—from idea to finished product. This is a role for someone who doesn't just design—but also structures, explains, and drives technical decisions forward at a high pace. About the Role As a System Design Engineer, you are responsible for the overall system design in the client's products. You ensure that solutions are technically robust, cost-effective, and feasible to industrialize. A central part of the role is developing clear and structured requirement specifications, both for internal development work and for projects where they outsource all or part of the development. You need to be able to translate needs into concrete, well-developed documentation that others can work from efficiently. You work with short development cycles, which requires you to be able to switch between analysis and practical work—and quickly drive solutions forward. Your Main Responsibilities Drive and develop new system solutions and product concepts Take responsibility for overall design of audio electronics systems (including architecture and component selection) Develop structured requirement specifications and design documentation for both internal development and external partners Ensure that documentation is clear, complete, and executable without misunderstandings Actively evaluate and justify technical choices (e.g., chip selection, RF and audio solutions) Lead and follow up on PCBA design (internally and via partners) Work hands-on with prototypes, lab testing, and verification Rapidly test ideas, iterate, and drive improvements Ensure that design meets requirements in areas such as EMC, RF, and acoustics Prepare technical documentation for production and suppliers Drive changes and improvements in existing products We're Looking for Someone Who… Has a strong technical foundation in audio/electronics and system design Has several years of experience in product development Is accustomed to writing clear, structured requirement specifications and technical documentation Can package complex technology so that both internal teams and external suppliers can work efficiently from it Is hands-on and enjoys lab environments, where you test, measure, and iterate solutions Works quickly and solution-oriented—and drives work forward even in uncertain situations Is confident in making technical decisions and can explain and justify them clearly Dares to question and improve existing solutions in a constructive way Is structured and methodical, even at a high pace Technical Competencies We'd like you to have experience in several of the following areas: System design and architecture within embedded electronics PCB design is a must! EMC design RF design Audio, acoustics, and audio processing Programming/test environments (e.g., LabVIEW or similar) Qualifications Master's degree in electronics or similar experience Several years of experience in electronics development in a product development environment Fluent English, spoken and written Swedish is a plus Why This Role Matters Our client wants to strengthen their ability to make well-founded technical decisions quickly and early in the development process.
