The hospital has been newly built to meet future care needs in modern facilities where all patients have private rooms. We have operational areas within medicine, surgery, orthopedics, anesthesia and intensive care, radiology, psychiatry, geriatrics, and 24/7 open emergency department. We have the advantages of a small hospital with close relationships between clinics, where you receive comprehensive AT training. Description Kungälv Hospital offers solid AT training - here you will find proximity, expertise, and a commitment to supporting you as an AT physician. As an AT physician with us, you will gain substantial clinical daily work and close colleague contacts. We will help you develop in your physician role. Kungälv Hospital offers 32 AT blocks per year. These are advertised in spring and fall. All blocks are 18 months consisting of: - 4.5 months in operating specialties - 4.5 months in medical specialties - 3 months in psychiatric specialties - 6 months in general medicine We are offering 16 AT blocks starting spring 2027. 8 blocks begin 2027-02-22 and 8 blocks begin 2027-05-10. Primary care placement is at one of the health centers in our service area. From Tjörn and Skepplanda in the north to Backa in the south. Application deadline: September 16 at 24:00 Interview notification by Monday, September 21 at the latest. Interviews will be held weeks 39, 40, and 41. As an AT physician with us, you will receive: - two weeks of introduction with your AT group combining practical and theoretical lectures - clinical introduction at each block placement - dedicated study directors - clinical supervisors at various placements who will help you develop - participation in regular reflection groups focusing on support and personal development - joint training days, approximately once monthly - three residential programs with different themes, called Focus Days, where you develop in your physician role - the opportunity to participate in an extended study trip, usually to Gambia - participation in AT Forum at Bohusgården in Uddevalla - many joint social activities - participation in the year's highlight - the Lucia procession! - good camaraderie and community - sea and forest nearby Qualifications Swedish medical degree or authorization from the National Board of Health and Welfare to complete AT. Swedish language proficiency equivalent to level C1 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages. We seek colleagues with reflection and collaboration skills who enjoy taking their own initiative and who thrive with varied work tasks. We value personal maturity and good judgment, placing great emphasis on personal letters and attached recommendation letters from physicians based on clinical temporary work. It is desirable that you have worked as a junior physician after graduation. With extended temporary work periods, experience in various specialties is a merit. For your application to capture our interest, it must be complete, meaning you have attached: 1: degree certificate or National Board of Health and Welfare authorization to complete AT. If you do not have a degree certificate, a Ladoc certificate must be attached 2: recommendation letter from physicians from your temporary physician positions 3: employment certificate from your temporary work in healthcare 4: motivation for why you want to work at Kungälv Hospital.
