With us, you'll get exciting tasks and new challenges! We offer an 18-month residency in Skaraborg with primary placements at the hospital in Skövde. Individual weeks may occur at any of Skaraborgs Hospital's locations. The primary care placement occurs at a health center somewhere in Skaraborg. With us, you get: A personal education allowance of 20,000 kr for e.g. AT study trips, AT conferences An introductory week, training in A-CPR, acute medicine and acute surgery etc., plus an additional 12 optional training days during your AT Scheduled theoretical training, specifically designed for AT physicians, takes place regularly A personal mentor whom you meet regularly Duties AT residency Qualifications Medical degree or decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare to complete AT. Must be submitted no later than 3 weeks before AT start. If you have a medical degree or the National Board of Health and Welfare's decision (if you didn't study in Sweden), this must be attached to your application. For those trained as a physician in a country other than Sweden and without a Swedish upper secondary school diploma, a certificate of approved Swedish language skills is required, equivalent to the requirements for general eligibility for admission to medical education in Sweden (passed Swedish B exam or TISUS test or equivalent C1 on the European scale). For physicians trained in the Nordic countries, an individual assessment is made. Merits considered: Healthcare experience is a merit. Great weight is placed on interviews and references. Other Information AT start week 10 or 22, 2026 Employment interviews will be held September 30 – October 2 + October 5-7, 2026. We want you to explain in your cover letter why you're applying for AT with us. If you are hired as an AT physician, we will request extracts from the suspicion and conviction registers, which must not show any remarks. This request is handled by the employer.
