Job Description as Assistant As a personal assistant, you work with a person who has functional variation. You help with everyday tasks that many take for granted, such as getting dressed, personal hygiene, and participating in leisure activities. We believe that helping someone live their life the way they want to every single day is the most important job in the world. In this role, you will work as an assistant to a 12-year-old boy with autism. You will work with him in his home where he lives with his mother and older brother. The boy does not have spoken communication, so as an assistant you help interpret his language, which he expresses through body language, sounds, and gestures. The boy is physically active and you will need to have lots of energy!
