Personal Assistant for 17-Year-Old Girl

We are seeking female temporary caregivers for our client, a 17-year-old cheerful and lively girl with Cerebral Palsy. In her free time, she enjoys going out for fika (coffee/snacks), swimming, and taking various outings. She has extensive mobility difficulties and therefore requires several assistive devices such as ceiling lifts, standing aids, specially adapted chairs, and various communication aids. As an assistant, you will receive thorough on-the-job training to learn how to use these. As an assistant, you will support her in activities she enjoys doing, both at home and outside the home. You will also accompany her on outings and visits to, for example, rehabilitation centers, orthopedic technology centers, and assistive device centers. It is important that you are a positive, confident, calm person who is solution-focused and driven. We are seeking someone who can work various shifts: mornings, days, evenings, and occasionally nights with on-call sleeping duty. Some days may involve split shifts where you work a morning shift and afternoon/evening shift. Most of the time you will work with a co-assistant, but there are times when you work alone as an assistant. It is important that you have a driver's license and a car, as these are needed to get to where the client lives and because the client has an adapted car (automatic) that is used to drive her to medical appointments and leisure activities. You will receive thorough training before you begin working independently.
