About the Role As Assistant Principal for Grades K–3, you will become an important part of the school's leadership and work closely with the Principal, school leaders, and colleagues. You are a present and clear leader who translates the school's vision, values, and goals into daily work. In the role, you will, among other things: - Lead and develop systematic quality work within Grades K–3. - Drive school development with a focus on students' knowledge development, safety, and inclusion. - Provide pedagogical support to teachers. - Create good conditions for early interventions and well-functioning collaboration between school, after-school care, and student services. - Monitor students' knowledge development and contribute to developing teaching based on identified needs. - Work actively with the school's values, safety, and study environment. - Be a clear and accessible leader for students, colleagues, and guardians. - Handle personnel-related matters and contribute to a good working environment. - Collaborate with guardians and external stakeholders regarding students' development and schooling. - Contribute to a smooth transition between preschool and school and create good conditions for students' continued schooling. We Are Looking for You - Have strong commitment to younger children's learning and development. - Have experience working with Grades K–3. - Have experience in a bilingual school. - Are a confident, clear, and present pedagogical leader. - Have good understanding of teaching and assessment in the early years and of Lgr22. - Have good relationship skills and ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. - Are structured, solution-oriented, and confident in making decisions. - Have the ability to see both the big picture and the individual student's needs. - Are communicative and can express yourself well in both speaking and writing, in both Swedish and English. - Enjoy working in a dynamic operation where collaboration and flexibility are crucial. - Are a team player who can also take clear personal responsibility and drive processes forward. Qualifications Requirements: - Relevant academic education. - Documented experience in pedagogical leadership and development work. - Good knowledge of school regulations and Lgr22. - Good understanding of the school's mission in Grades K–3, including early reading, writing, and mathematics development. - Experience working systematically with students' knowledge development, safety, and support measures. Merits: - Swedish teaching license. - Experience working in a school leadership role, such as team leader, lead teacher, or assistant principal. - Started or completed state rector training or other relevant management and leadership education. - Experience with personnel responsibility and workplace environment work. - Experience with scheduling, job allocation, and organization of school operations. - Experience with student services work and cross-professional collaboration. - Experience with collaboration between preschool class, primary school, and after-school care.
