Aleris ASIH Södertälje is a growing team working on behalf of Region Stockholm with patients who have complex healthcare needs, often in palliative stages. Here, specialist physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, and paramedical professionals work together to create safe and person-centered care in patients' homes.
We operate from modern facilities next to the commuter train station at Södertälje Centrum.
About the Role
As a specialist physician in advanced home healthcare (ASIH), you hold overall responsibility for your patients and play an important role in the team's medical leadership alongside the unit manager and specialist colleagues.
With us, you'll have the opportunity to combine advanced medicine with close patient encounters and long-term relationships.
The role includes:
Working in multiprofessional teams with the patient's needs and life situation at the center.
Responsibility for medical assessments and treatments in the home.
Conducting conversations with patients and loved ones during life's difficult stages.
Contributing to the development of care quality, work methods, and teamwork.
Participating in supervision and knowledge exchange within palliative care.

We're Looking for You
You are a specialist physician in, for example, geriatrics, internal medicine, general practice, oncology, neurology, anesthesiology, or a related specialty.
You have a genuine interest in palliative care and advanced home healthcare.
You thrive in a multidisciplinary team and see the value in close collaboration.
You are confident in your professional role and meet patients and loved ones with professionalism, warmth, and clarity.
You are proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented.
It is a merit if you have experience in palliative medicine or double specialization in the field.
Working Hours and On-Call
The operation runs 24/7.
For a full-time position, work includes weekdays 08:00–16:00 plus on-call shifts according to an established on-call schedule.
On-Call Schedule:
Weekday evenings/nights: 16:00–08:00
Weekends and public holidays daytime: 08:00–16:00
Weekends and public holidays evenings/nights: 16:00–08:00
On-call compensation is provided according to the current collective agreement in the form of time off or cash payment.
No on-call shifts are scheduled during the introduction period.
Employment Terms
Employment type: Permanent position with 6-month probationary period.
Scope: Full-time.
Start date: By agreement.
Salary: Individual salary negotiation.
Location: Södertälje.
