About the Position We are now seeking an archivist for a government agency in Stockholm. You will primarily work with records management and help ensure well-organized, accessible, and legally compliant information management. The assignment is linked to a major archival relocation and involves supporting the organization in organizing, quality assuring, and preparing archival materials. You will collaborate with colleagues in archives and information management and contribute to ensuring that the organization's archival processes function efficiently. The position includes the following tasks: - Prior to relocation, inventory archival holdings of approximately 350 shelf meters - Organize, catalogue, label, and document the archive in the archival description system - Remedy deficiencies in holdings (for example, replace archival boxes and file folders) - When necessary, investigate and implement records disposal - Assist with packing and arranging the archive Assignment Period and Scope: The archivist position is a full-time consulting assignment starting 2026-10-01 and is expected to run through 2027-04-15. The assignment will be performed primarily at the agency's current offices in central Stockholm. In connection with a planned relocation of the archival holdings at the turn of the year 2026/2027, work will thereafter be performed at the agency's new offices in the Stockholm area. Requirements for the Position: • Academic degree with a focus on archival science of at least 60 ECTS credits • Experience cataloguing according to the general archival schema • Strong knowledge of public access and confidentiality legislation • Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish In order for us to move you forward in the process, you must clearly document in your CV that all of the above requirements are met.
