The City Archives is responsible for the archives within Stockholm city's operations and state authorities in Stockholm County. One of the City Archives' core missions is to provide and give everyone good access to the information in our archives. The City Archives has approximately 80 employees organized in five units plus a management support function. We offer • engaged colleagues • workplace in pleasant facilities on Kungsklippan on Kungsholmen • wellness benefits and one hour of wellness activities per week during work time Your role The Making Archives Accessible division consists of two units and approximately 25 employees who are responsible for the City Archives' service to users and visitors. This can range from providing advice to visitors in reading rooms to providing and releasing information from the archives to private or professional users. We are looking for an archivist for a fixed-term assignment. The role involves handling and responding to requests from our archives as well as working with the release of public documents. The cases vary in scope and complexity – from simple releases to more comprehensive investigations. In this position, you will have contact with many different people with different expectations, which requires responsiveness and good service. Your competence and experience • worked independently and driven your own tasks forward • good digital competence and ease working with new digital programs • experience working with the Office package and Outlook • good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish • ability to handle a large number of cases efficiently and professionally It is meritorious if you have • education with at least 60 university credits in archival science • worked with case management in public sector operations • worked in Platina (called eDok in the city) or in other document and case management systems Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
