The Regional Archives is part of the Management Department and has a guiding and supporting role in Region Gävleborg's information management. We contribute to the development of analog and digital information handling and offer training and consulting. The goal is for the region's public records to be properly cared for, searchable, and accessible now and in the future. DUTIES Region Gävleborg has a new archive organization, which has contributed to increased awareness of archive requirements and thus increased demand for support services from the regional archives. In this role, you will have a key position in the health and medical care administration's archive organization. You will support archive coordinators and archive reporters in applying regulations within the archive field for both analog and digital information. Following the implementation of the Cosmic journal system, we face extensive work in phasing out previous systems within health care and ensuring that public records are preserved and handled correctly. Preservation information will be migrated to the region's system for long-term preservation, R7 e-archive. As an archivist, you will play an important role in this work. Archive delivery work is often conducted in project form, in close collaboration with both internal and external actors. Main responsibilities • Conduct appraisal investigations and establish retention and disposal schedules • Contribute archival expertise in projects for deliveries to e-archive (intermediate archive and final archive) • Train employees and managers in information and archive management • Drive the work of developing information management plans • Work with both traditional and process-based archive reporting • Provide advice and support in operational changes that affect archive formation. You have good analytical skills and enjoy clarifying complex issues. By seeing connections and consequences from a broader perspective, you can identify challenges and find sustainable solutions. You are self-directed, organized, and take responsibility for your tasks with accuracy and quality. Furthermore, we see that you take own initiatives and actively contribute to developing and driving the work forward. For this position you must have • Academic education in archive and information science (at least 60 credits or equivalent 40 points) • Good knowledge of legislation governing archive management in public administration • Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish. Professional experience as an archivist in public administration, preferably in a municipality or region, is meritious. If you have worked with deliveries to e-archive, this is particularly valuable. It is also meritious if you have experience with appraisal investigations and establishing retention and disposal schedules/information management plans. Experience with process-based archive reporting as well as mapping information architecture is also advantageous. Knowledge of GDPR and the Patient Data Act as well as experience from health and medical care is also advantageous for this position. Employment form: Permanent employment.
