About the Position Do you want to combine swim school operations, leadership, and daily facility management in a role where you are responsible for creating safe and developmental experiences for children, parents, and staff? Then the role of Arena Manager Swim at Actic Friskvågen in Varberg might be perfect for you. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, developing, and ensuring quality in the swim school operations while maintaining efficient pool facility management. The focus of the role is on the daily operations of the facility, where you meet members and guests, create a positive experience, and contribute to business development through service and sales. You have personnel responsibility for the facility's swim instructors and are responsible for leading, supporting, and developing the team in daily operations. You work closely with the site manager and other staff with significant independent responsibility and a strong presence in the operations. A large part of your workday is spent in the facility, where you teach swimming lessons, lead group training sessions, work at the reception desk, and actively contribute to sales of memberships and other products. The role also includes tasks such as scheduling, staffing, monitoring, and communication with parents. This role suits you if you enjoy working close to operations and meeting members and guests daily, while combining leadership with hands-on work. As Arena Manager Swim, your main responsibilities will include: Ensuring high quality in swim school operations and developing the program according to Actic's goals and concepts Being a visible and present leader by actively participating in daily operations, teaching swimming lessons and group training sessions, engaging with members, and working with service and sales Leading, coaching, and scheduling swim instructors while monitoring operational quality and results Responsibility for communication and dialogue with parents and creating a safe and professional experience for participants Overall responsibility for pool operations, including water testing, basic maintenance, and ensuring a safe facility environment Working on development initiatives and improvement measures that strengthen operations and member experience The position of Arena Manager Swim is full-time with a 6-month probationary period. The desired start date is autumn 2026 with the possibility of negotiation. Weekend and evening work is part of this position. About You We are looking for someone who is a certified swim instructor with experience teaching swimming. You have strong commitment to developing people and operations and enjoy a role where you can combine leadership with hands-on work close to the facility. It is meriting if you have experience with group training, for example as an instructor, or an interest in developing further in this area. We consider it meriting if you have previous experience in a leadership role. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and communicative, with the ability to build trust with colleagues, parents, and members. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and thrive in a varied daily routine.
