About the Position
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring quality in group training and courses across a cluster of Actic facilities in Uppsala. You will create attractive schedules, ensure proper staffing, and lead and develop an engaged team of instructors across five gyms. The role combines clear leadership with hands-on work in a gym environment, where a strong presence at the facilities is important.
You will work closely with location managers within the cluster on tasks related to both daily gym operations and administrative work such as scheduling, staffing, follow-up, and quality assurance. In addition to your main responsibilities, you have a regional assignment where you train and ensure quality in Actic's group training concept through training sessions, workshops, and development initiatives at various locations in the region. Travel is a natural part of the position.
As Arena Manager Group Training, your main responsibilities will include:
Ensuring high quality in group training and that Actic's concept is followed
Responsible for scheduling, staffing, and substitute management with the goal of zero cancelled classes
Lead, train, develop, and follow up with group training instructors
Be a visible and present leader by holding your own group training classes and covering operations as needed
Work actively with sales, customer service, and development of local activities that strengthen member experience
Serve as a support function and expert in group training to other facilities and location managers in the region
The position of Arena Manager Group Training is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. Weekend and evening work is part of the position.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about group training and has previous experience in the field, as well as management and leadership experience in some form, preferably from a role with operational responsibility, scheduling, and staffing. You have the ability to lead, coach, and train others, and to develop employees in relation to performance and quality.
As a person, you are organized, engaged, and have a natural ability to build relationships. You thrive with planning and following up on work while driving the business forward by being present, operational, and inspiring in your daily work. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and comfortable with varied work.
Important for the position:
Experience from the gym industry and holding group training classes yourself
Leadership experience and ability to lead, coach, and train others
Available for flexible working hours
An advantage if you have experience with or are certified in any Les Mills training concept
An advantage if you have a driver's license and access to a car
