With us, you will have a varied day where you combine patient-focused work with rehabilitation coordination. You will become part of an engaged and competent rehabilitation team with three occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, a rehabilitation coordinator, and other professionals at the health center. The position is a combination of traditional occupational therapy work and a rehabilitation coordinator role. The distribution between the roles will be planned based on organizational needs and your competence and experience.
The Role of Occupational Therapist
As an occupational therapist, you work with assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients of all ages. The duties include, among other things, hand rehabilitation, memory assessments, activity assessments, and support regarding activity balance. You meet patients both individually and in groups and contribute your expertise to the interprofessional teamwork.
As a Rehabilitation Coordinator
As a rehabilitation coordinator, you provide support to patients who are or risk becoming sick-listed. You coordinate the rehabilitation and sick-leave process and act as a link between the patient, healthcare, and external actors such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, employers, and the municipality. The goal is to create good conditions for return to work and sustainable rehabilitation.
Your Future Workplace
Bra Liv Vråen Health Center works toward a patient-oriented, stable, and efficient primary care clinic. The health center has approximately 12,400 registered patients and is part of Vårdcentralerna Bra Liv. We have a shared organization and close cooperation with Rydaholms Health Center. Värnamo is a beautiful and peaceful city where the Lagan River flows gently by. The city offers what you could wish for in a small town, such as restaurants, shops, cultural activities, and sports facilities. Approximately 22,500 inhabitants live in the city center and approximately 34,600 in the municipality. It is easy to get around thanks to good opportunities for cycling, driving, and public transportation.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and who enjoys combining independent work with close teamwork. You are structured, take initiative, and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. At the same time, you are flexible and see opportunities when conditions change.
You have good interpersonal skills, feel confident in your professional role, and appreciate collaboration with both patients, colleagues, and external actors. You have an aptitude for building trusting relationships and enjoy a role where cooperation and coordination are an important part of the assignment.
Experience with primary care, rehabilitation, or coordinating roles is a merit but not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
