Located close to the sea and nature on the Kullahalvö Peninsula, Sjöcrona Health Center is centrally situated in Höganäs with good communications and free parking. Here, employees from several professions work together to provide care for approximately 9,300 registered patients. At the health center, we work in interdisciplinary teams where collaboration, knowledge exchange, and patient needs are in focus.
You will work close to your occupational therapy colleague at Delfinen Health Center, and together you will plan and develop the work within the operation. Within our area, the units collaborate closely to leverage expertise, strengthen continuity, and create a safe and sustainable working environment. WORK TASKS
As an occupational therapist with us, you have a broad and varied assignment with both clinic visits, home visits, and group interventions. You will meet patients of different ages and work independently while maintaining close collaboration with other professionals at the health center.
You contribute your expertise to increase the individual's independence and participation in everyday activities. You are the first point of contact for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries to the hand, forearm, and elbow, and you are responsible for fitting and manufacturing orthoses. Your work tasks also include activity and function assessments, rehabilitation, assistive device prescriptions, and participation in cognitive evaluations.
Counseling is a central part of the work, both through individual patient contacts and through educational initiatives for various patient groups. You also work with patients who have chronic pain or stress-related issues, and there is an opportunity to work with health-oriented conversations. Home visits and follow-ups are planned based on patient needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have a genuine interest in primary care and are comfortable in a position where you combine independent work with close collaboration with other professions. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and confident in your professional role. You have a good approach and always work with the patient's needs in focus. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Regarding the formal requirements for the position, we welcome you if you are a licensed occupational therapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is also a requirement. We would like to see that you have worked for a few years within the profession and have experience in primary care and the PMO system.
