Welcome to us We are now looking for a dedicated and driven occupational therapist for Sätra Care and Housing. Sätra Care and Housing is a Silvia Home certified facility with a total of 120 places. We also have a day activity program for people with dementia diagnoses. In 2015, Sätra Care and Housing won Stockholm City's quality award and since then we have continued to develop the palliative care philosophy and our quality processes as part of becoming a leader in dementia care. Please read more about our benefits Your role We want it to be fun and developmental to work with us and we really want to do the best for our residents and we do that best when all professions work together. Together with our physiotherapist, you will form the facility's rehabilitation team and an important part of your work will be to supervise care staff and create influence for service users from a salutogenic approach. You will be part of a team with managers, physiotherapist, nurses and care staff who work together to develop dementia care. Based on your credentials, you contribute knowledge about legislation, regulations and ordinances. As an occupational therapist, your role also includes preventive work with risk assessments and health plans, handling of deviations, delegations and supervising care staff. Main responsibilities: Prescribe and order assistive devices such as wheelchairs (including comfort wheelchairs), walkers, patient lifts and lift harnesses, hygiene chairs, positioning belts and more Responsible for inventory and annual inspections of assistive devices Plan and conduct annual transfer training for care staff Contribute your expertise in matters concerning staff development and provide training based on facility needs and the rehabilitation team's professions Work actively to achieve facility goals Participate in Stockholm City's network and collaborate with MAR in implementing guidelines, for example Assist in developing and updating local procedures Participate in various councils and forums in order to develop the operation Take initiative and drive improvement work Work currently takes place on weekdays during office hours 08:00–16:30. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with work experience. It is an advantage if you have experience working in elderly care, LSS and/or geriatrics. You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships with colleagues, residents and families. As a person you are communicative, pedagogical and confident in your professional role. You have a positive attitude, are solution-focused and open to change and improvement work. In your role as an occupational therapist, it is important that you feel comfortable taking a supervisory function. You work independently and in a structured manner, with a good ability to plan, prioritize and organize your tasks based on the facility's needs. You have a holistic perspective and make decisions with the facility's best interests in focus. At the same time, you are a team player who appreciates teamwork and finds it easy to collaborate with different professional categories. You work goal-oriented, follow up results and contribute ideas that can be put into practice. Through your open, accommodating and professional approach, you contribute to a good work environment and an operation with high quality. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
