Your Workplace Rehabilitation Specialist Care at Central Hospital in Karlstad is a unit within the health and rehabilitation operation. Within rehabilitation specialist care, approximately 80 employees work in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and music and art therapy. The unit also has rehabilitation assistants on staff. We work with rehabilitation across several different clinics at Central Hospital in Karlstad such as neurology, geriatrics, oncology, infection, pediatrics, women's clinic, surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, ICU, and more, in both outpatient and inpatient care. Within Rehabilitation Specialist Care, approximately 25 occupational therapists work, which gives us good opportunities for collegial exchange and knowledge transfer. We have close collaboration in daily operations, which means we help and support each other in the work team. Your Responsibilities We are now seeking an occupational therapist for rehabilitation within inpatient care. As an occupational therapist in inpatient care, you work with various acute care units, which provides a good opportunity to increase your expertise and see different aspects of acute care. You will be part of a work team that has good collaboration to meet patients' needs for occupational therapy assessments and interventions. In total, there are 14 occupational therapists in inpatient care who also collaborate between the smaller work teams to meet patients' needs. This may involve short-term interventions where occupational activity assessment is important for continued planning, but also longer rehabilitation periods for patients with extended hospital stays where you are part of the team around the patient. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist with an interest in rehabilitation and who wants to be part of developing the operation together with the rest of the team. Experience from similar work is considered an advantage, but we also welcome applications from those new to the occupational therapy profession. As a person, you are confident, structured, and independent. You cooperate well with others and consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decision-making.
