Profile You are a licensed occupational therapist. Perhaps you already have experience working with neurology and understand how meaningful it is to help people find new paths when life has taken an unexpected turn. All your future team colleagues have many years of experience working in neuroteams. Rehab Västra encompasses four clinics in the western part of Stockholm; Bromma, Kista, Spånga, and Ekerö. Our mission is primary care rehabilitation within the Healthcare Choice system, which includes clinic work, home visits, assistive device trials, and team-based home rehabilitation. The operations include dietitians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and receptionists. Our clinic in Spånga also has the additional assignment of operating a neuroteam with a speech-language pathologist, social worker, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The mission is to provide rehabilitation for people newly diagnosed with stroke and people with other acquired neurological injuries or diseases. The team's catchment area is all of western Stockholm. Job Responsibilities: With us, you'll work in a team with a physiotherapist/physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, and social worker. Rehabilitation takes place primarily in the patient's home and immediate surroundings, but also at the clinic for individual treatment and/or group sessions. The target group consists of patients newly or recurrently diagnosed with stroke and patients with other acquired brain injuries or neurological diseases assessed within neurology clinics' inpatient or outpatient care. Services are provided in close collaboration with the patient's family members and other care providers. Job responsibilities include assessment and treatment as well as assistive device trials. Employment: Permanent employment. Full-time 100%. A trial period may apply. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County healthcare: - a background check will be conducted before an employment decision according to SLSO's comprehensive guidelines for background checks at hiring. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional credentials, strong knowledge of Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required.
