Stora Sköndals Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic offers active and intensive rehabilitation for patients with stroke, Parkinson's, MS, Huntington's, and other neurological conditions and injuries. Rehabilitation is a team effort where speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation assistants, and physicians work together with patients and their families. Our day rehabilitation program serves patients who need intensive specialized neurological rehabilitation beyond what primary care resources can provide. Patients attend two to three half-days per week for 2-3 months and train according to their individual rehabilitation plans. We are now seeking a new colleague for our occupational therapy team in day rehabilitation. Together with the physical therapist and the rest of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring your patients receive well-balanced training focused on their rehabilitation goals outlined in their rehab plans. Training is conducted both individually and in groups with a wide variety of training methods. Our training facilities include workshops for ceramics and leather work, a training kitchen, and several smaller treatment rooms. We strive to stay at the forefront of treatment methods and equipment, and we also utilize our natural setting and our wonderful therapy garden for outdoor training when appropriate. In addition to day rehabilitation, the clinic offers speech therapy and specialized physical therapy services, as well as an inpatient ward for neurological rehabilitation. We are primarily seeking someone with several years of experience in neurological rehabilitation, preferably with a master's degree. Since you will follow each patient through several intensive months, it is important that you have a strong understanding of the occupational therapy process and can guide patients through their rehabilitation. We also value knowledge of the care pathway for patients with neurological conditions or injuries. We are a mission-driven, non-profit organization focused on support, care, education, and research. Because we do not distribute profits, we can dedicate all resources to fulfilling our mission as effectively as possible. Since 1905, activities within the Stora Sköndal Foundation have evolved, changed, and improved. Some services remain, while others are entirely new. But one thing never changes: we continue to work from the conviction that all human beings have equal worth. Every day, we want to make life better for all the people we meet in our operations. Today we have approximately 1,100 employees—both salaried and hourly—working together toward our vision: a society with an obvious place for everyone. Our culture is shaped by our values: equality, compassion, and change. Learn more about us at www.storaskondal.se
