Our paramedical team at Nacka Hospital is now seeking you as a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in psychiatric inpatient care. Do you want to make a difference every day? Responsibilities and Tasks: Occupational therapists within psychiatric inpatient care work to conduct assessments through standardized observation, conversations, and interviews, with the aim of mapping a patient's physical and cognitive ability to manage everyday activities (ADL). These assessments provide guidance on the need for various municipal services, assistive devices, and home adaptations, and form the basis for the patient's discharge plan, care plan, and coordinated individual plan (SIP). Occupational therapy treatment includes interventions/patient education to improve the patient's sleep and reduce anxiety, as well as training in skills to increase activity balance and the sense of meaning in everyday life. Work Tasks: You can plan your day and your workday is varied. You participate in rounds, where you contribute your expertise from an activity and occupational therapy perspective. You investigate and assess the patient's physical and cognitive activity capacity within the scope of what is possible in inpatient care. You inform/act as a consultant in the care team regarding preventive, improving, and/or compensatory measures. You are part of supporting the patient so they can achieve activity balance in their everyday activities. You assess patients' assistive device needs and prescribe assistive devices when necessary. You work actively in Life Care and report to primary and outpatient care. You are involved, together with other paramedical staff, in the activities offered to patients at our activity center. This includes planning and implementing treatment/training in groups and/or individually. It also occurs through engagement in local projects to develop care content. You have a teaching responsibility, both toward students and other employees. Personal Qualities We are seeking someone who enjoys being part of a multidisciplinary team. You should be communicative, clear, and at the same time receptive. You work in a patient-safe manner with a clear focus on the patient's individual needs. You should be flexible and able to work with several different patient matters during the same period. You are thorough and orderly. You will have great opportunity to influence and develop the occupational therapy role within psychiatric inpatient care, which requires that you are calm, confident, and independent in your professional role and can clearly translate theory/evidence into practical/clinical interventions. For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare District: - background checks are applied before employment decisions according to SLSO's comprehensive guidelines for background checks in recruitment. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to applicable directives, which takes place through occupational health before employment. - good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional credentials.
