Habilitation exists to make life more possible for people with permanent disabilities and their families and networks. The disability may involve mobility impairment, intellectual disability, and/or autism. Trelleborg Habilitation Clinics are divided into three teams: one team focusing on adults and two teams focusing on children and young people. This position is primarily placed in the adult team, where continuous collaboration occurs across team boundaries. Our workplace values participation for our patients and their networks. WORK TASKS We work person-centered with the goal that each patient receives support for a functioning and meaningful daily life. As an occupational therapist, you are responsible for the occupational therapy perspective in the team and provide support, advice, and education based on the patient's disability and how it affects daily life. Interventions may also be directed toward the patient's network and surrounding staff. In this role, you work to assess needs and implement interventions that strengthen the patient's activity capacity and participation in daily life. Planning takes place in close cooperation with the patient and their network. You collaborate closely with colleagues within the operation and external partners, contributing your specific expertise. The work also includes assessment, prescription, and follow-up of assistive devices. Interventions can be provided individually or in groups, as well as digitally or physically. Together with a physical therapist and speech therapist, you are also responsible for monitoring patients within the quality registers CPUP and MMCUP. You become an important part of the team's work in creating good and safe care for patients. Upon employment, you will receive introduction and supervision from experienced occupational therapy colleagues both at the unit and in the area, who provide support in daily work. Travel is part of the position, and a service vehicle is available. Working hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 08:00-16:30, Tuesday 08:00-18:30, and Friday 08:00-14:30. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is required. Additionally, a B driver's license is required. Since bathing can occur for our patients, swimming proficiency is also required. Previous experience working in habilitation is meritorious. To thrive with us, you are collaborative, flexible, self-directed, and have the ability to handle situations when the pace is sometimes high. Furthermore, you have a good ability to organize and structure your work. The work requires curiosity and understanding of patients who rarely function according to the norm. This requires adjustments in working methods and perspective-taking, and that you create individual and creative solutions to problems based on the patients' circumstances.
