The Habilitation Clinic for Children and Young Adults serves children and young adults up to and including 17 years old with movement disorders, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism, as well as their families. We work person-centered, which means the child, young adult, and family are involved throughout the care process. At our clinic, we work in teams where occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, special educators, leisure consultants, medical secretaries, doctors, nurses, and dietitians provide coordinated support. We are located in newly renovated and functional facilities alongside habilitation for adults, which provides excellent opportunities for collaboration and a smooth transition for our patients. The same building also houses Assistive Devices and Vision, Hearing, and Deaf Services. RESPONSIBILITIES As an occupational therapist with us, you work to strengthen the child's or young adult's opportunities for activity, participation, and independence in everyday life. You work with, among other things: • Assessing activity capacity and identifying intervention needs • Providing advice, treatment, and guidance to children, young adults, and their networks • Prescribing and testing cognitive and other medical technical assistive devices • Participating in home adaptations and adaptation of other environments • Collaborating with preschools, schools, healthcare, social services, and other stakeholders around the child or young adult. The work is independent, but you are never alone. We value knowledge exchange and support each other in daily work. We're looking for someone who wants to contribute both expertise and commitment. With us, you'll receive structured introduction tailored to your previous experience and a mentor who supports you during your first time with the possibility of in-depth mentoring. You have regular professional meetings with strong collegial support. Working hours are daytime, and on Mondays we work until 6:30 PM, which is compensated by finishing at 2:30 PM on Fridays or taking one Friday off per month. We apply flexible hours when work permits. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed occupational therapist with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. You also have a valid B driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience working with children and young adults, habilitation, cognitive support, or assistive device prescription.
