The unit specializes in intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, and autism. We create conditions for patients to function optimally in their daily lives. You will be part of a pleasant work environment with good working conditions. We are located in large, bright facilities centrally situated at Brommaplan. We work in interprofessional teams consisting of a social worker, physiotherapist, psychologist, special education teacher, and speech-language pathologist, collaborating to provide services to patients individually and in groups. We serve people living in the districts of Norra Innerstaden, Kungsholmen, Bromma, Hässelby-Vällingby, and Ekerö municipality. Work Tasks: The work tasks consist of a broad spectrum of occupational therapy interventions for patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mobility impairments. Your role includes sharing knowledge with parents and networks about support for patients to manage their daily activities. The work includes functional assessments, mapping, establishing care plans, prescribing and monitoring assistive devices including high-tech devices in the area of cognitive support, and providing advice and support on housing adaptations. Work is conducted both individually with patients/networks and in groups. Our patients often have complex needs requiring collaboration, not only within the team but with care neighbors, municipal services, and other authorities. Work tasks are varied and require flexibility. We Are Looking For: We are looking for you as a licensed occupational therapist with competence in the areas of autism, mobility impairments, and intellectual disabilities, and with professional experience working with our target groups. You are a person who takes initiative and is driven to find solutions focused on the patient. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and take personal responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured manner. You are interested in leading groups and have good computer skills. Here, you need the ability to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work in close cooperation with other professions in your unit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Health Care Region: - A background check will be applied before an employment decision according to SLSO's overarching instructions for background checks in employment. - Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment. - In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
