The Dependency Center's outpatient clinic within Region Örebro County consists of several specialized clinics: General Clinic - substance use disorders and comorbidity Kajsa Clinic - alcohol dependence Maria Youth - adolescents 13-21 years with risky and harmful use NP Clinic - neuropsychiatric assessments and comorbidity LARO Clinic - medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence With us, you work in a committed and interdisciplinary team where the occupational therapist's perspective is a central part of treatment, assessment, and rehabilitation. Work Tasks As an occupational therapist in specialist psychiatry and dependency care, your mission is to support patients' ability to live a meaningful and functional everyday life, despite mental health issues or substance use problems. You will work both independently and in teams with doctors, psychologists, nurses, and social workers. Your work tasks include: Assessments Functional assessments: cognitive, physical, and mental functions Activity assessments within personal care, household, work, and leisure Assessment of activity capacity in the patient's everyday environment Assessment for housing adaptation and prescription of assistive devices Work capacity assessments for rehabilitation or sick leave Treatment Interventions Support with activity balance and structure in daily life Cognitive training, strategy training, and cognitive support Stress management and daily living skills training, individually and in groups Motivational interviewing (MI), particularly for substance use issues Interventions targeting housing, finances, and social functioning Integrated treatment models for comorbidity (e.g., CBT + MI) Design of individually tailored treatment plans focused on recovery Methods and Instruments AMPS, CAM, EFPT - cognitive and activity-based functional assessments PRPP - analysis of cognitive information processing in daily activities (requires training) PEGASUS - psychoeducational group intervention for adults with ADHD Collaboration and Development Active role in the multiprofessional team Participation in care planning, SIP, and collaboration with social services Mentoring of colleagues and interdisciplinary teams in activity-focused approaches Participation in business development and implementation of evidence-based practices Qualifications Occupational Therapy degree (180 credits) Registration as an occupational therapist Experience in psychiatry, dependency care, or comorbidity is advantageous Training in PRPP, AMPS, MI, or PEGASUS is advantageous Good ability for independent work and structured documentation Interest in development work and evidence-based practice We Offer: A workplace with strong teamwork and high expertise Opportunity to work with complex cases in psychiatry, dependency, neuropsychiatry, and youth Considerable scope for professional responsibility and method development Collegial support and opportunity for further education A role where occupational therapy's unique expertise truly makes a difference Do you want to be part of developing the future of dependency care?
