Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our services based on the needs of residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services. Welcome to an award-winning and expanding occupational therapy practice! We are looking for an occupational therapist to join our Activity and Health team. It currently consists of six occupational therapists who work with patients of all ages in the areas of cognition, stress/exhaustion, and fatigue. We provide support regarding structure, routines, and activity balance to help patients' daily lives function better. For increased accessibility, we offer both physical and digital visits based on the patient's preference. We are now expanding our services and our collaboration with Child and Youth Health to be able to receive more children with difficulties related to attention, activity level, and impulse control. With us, you will get a rewarding and developmental role where you can contribute to developing primary care occupational therapy with the patient's needs in focus and in accordance with the development toward efficient and accessible care in 2030. We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date by agreement. Region Uppsala and Primary Health and Care are committed to secure employment and good benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/). Your Assignment In your role as an occupational therapist with us, you will meet patients, both adults and children, with reduced activity capacity in areas such as cognition, stress, exhaustion, and fatigue. The assignment involves providing interventions focused on the activities the patient needs to manage their daily life based on their own goals and needs. You will support the patient in creating structure, finding activity balance, and developing strategies for planning, structuring, and performing activities. The assignment also includes providing advice on cognitive support and, when needed, prescribing cognitive aids. The work also includes activity assessments in basic dementia investigations according to current procedures, as well as other assistive device prescriptions for selected patient groups. You will meet patients both individually and in groups. If interested, you will also have the opportunity to work with our team focusing on hand rehabilitation. The assignment does not include writing ADL certificates or conducting work capacity assessments. Services are provided at the primary care level and are directed at patients who can come to the clinic, with the exception of certain assessments where another location is deemed to better meet the patient's needs. Your Competence We are looking for you as a licensed occupational therapist with experience working within health and medical care. It is meritorious to have experience in areas such as cognition, stress-related illness and exhaustion, activity capacity, and assistive device prescription for children and adults. It is also an advantage to have a B driver's license. Furthermore, we are looking for you as someone who values good patient interaction and works from a person-centered approach. You are proactive, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and with others. You thrive in an environment where you can participate and influence, contribute ideas, and participate in development work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for you as someone who is open to new ways of working and wants to contribute to a good work environment. Our Services Occupational Therapy in Primary Care consists of two teams: Activity and Health, as described in this notice, and Hand Rehabilitation, which receives patients with hand or forearm problems requiring primary care level interventions.
