Do you want meaningful work tasks that make a difference in people's lives? Welcome to a municipality that thinks far beyond the ordinary! The Employment and Adult Education Administration works to give more Botkyrka residents the conditions to achieve financial independence through work, studies, or other paths to independent living. The administration is responsible for the municipality's labor market initiatives, day activities, adult education, vocational higher education, and study and career guidance. At the turn of the year, the upper secondary school will become part of the administration, strengthening the connection between education, the labor market, and skills supply. The administration has approximately 400 employees and will grow to nearly 800 after the turn of the year. Through collaboration with businesses, education providers, and other actors, we develop activities that meet both individual and labor market needs. The Position and Your Tasks Do you want to contribute your professional expertise in an activity that creates real opportunities for work and studies for Botkyrka residents? We are seeking an occupational therapist who wants to help build the Employment Unit's new approach within the ReBootkyrka framework and the upcoming activity requirement. In your role as an occupational therapist, you work closely with individuals who are far from the labor market and provide professional assessments of work capacity and activities. Your mission is to identify the individual's conditions, obstacles, and opportunities in relation to work and meaningful activity. The work involves both individual assessments and consultative support to colleagues and collaboration partners, where your findings form the basis for planning, matching, and decisions about further interventions. You will be one of two occupational therapists in the unit, which creates excellent opportunities for collegial learning, exchange of experience, and support in daily work. Your main responsibilities: - Investigate and assess participants' work capacity and activities through structured observations and evidence-based assessment instruments - Identify obstacles and opportunities in relation to work and suggest concrete adjustments to the work environment, work tasks, or working hours - Work consultatively with work instructors and group activity leaders in practical activities to contribute to a sustainable work environment and support other functions in working with participants - Conduct activity analyses to match individuals' conditions with appropriate work tasks internally or externally - Collaborate with various parties and provide assessment materials for continued planning toward work, studies, or other relevant measures - Document and write professional reports used in collaboration with, for example, the Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, and other authorities What We Offer You You will become part of a new unit within the Employment and Adult Education Administration that is under development. Here, occupational therapists, work instructors, and other professionals work in close collaboration around the individual. Together, you will develop individually adapted activities and interventions with a focus on sustainable progress toward work or studies. The unit is in a development phase where work methods, collaboration forms, and structures are being progressively shaped, providing room for dialogue, cooperation, and shared learning. With us, you have the opportunity to develop in your professional role alongside a colleague, helping to shape a new activity. You will be given the conditions to deepen your expertise in work capacity assessment, collaboration, and individually adapted interventions, while also having the opportunity to broaden your experience through collaboration with other professionals and actors. In the longer term, the role may also open up opportunities for specialization within specific target groups, method development, or expanded responsibility in the unit's development work, depending on the organization's needs and your own interests. About You You are a licensed occupational therapist with an academic degree and licensure issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have experience working with individuals who are far from the labor market and are confident in assessing activity and work capacity as a basis for further planning toward work, studies, or other relevant measures. Other requirements: - Experience with work capacity assessments and familiarity with relevant assessment instruments, such as AWP, DOA, WRI, or equivalent - Experience working with people with mental health issues, physical or intellectual disabilities, and neuropsychiatric conditions (NPF) - Experience analyzing and documenting assessments in clear, structured, and legally sound reports - Experience communicating clearly and pedagogically and conveying assessments to participants, colleagues, and collaborating partners - Experience working consultatively and in collaboration with other professionals We consider it a merit if you have: - Experience working in municipal services, the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, or occupational health services - Training or experience in motivational interviewing (MI) - Training in Supported Employment (SE) and/or Individualized Employment Support (IPS) To succeed in this role, you need to be collaboration-oriented in close cooperation with employment coaches, work instructors, and other professionals around the individual. You share assessments and observations in a clear manner and actively contribute to joint decisions and coordinated planning. The role requires you to be analytical and able to see connections between an individual's conditions, activity requirements, and work environment. You interpret observations and assessment results systematically and translate them into well-founded recommendations that support the individual's further progress. You also need to be organized in how you plan, conduct, and follow up on assessments. Your documentation is of high quality, and your reports are clear, legally sound, and easy to use in collaboration with other actors. Since the activity is under development, it is important that you are solution-oriented and can find practical, sustainable adjustments in everyday work. You contribute to developing work methods and creating solutions that work for both the individual and the organization in the short and long term.
