The Stroke Center has an inpatient ward with 12 beds, an outpatient clinic, and a home rehabilitation team. We encompass the entire care chain from acute stroke onset to patient discharge with continued rehabilitation services and subsequent follow-up at our stroke clinic. We work in teams where everyone's contribution is important for rehabilitation. Our work is guided by the National Board of Health and Welfare's National Guidelines and person-centered care pathways for stroke and TIA. Quality is monitored through Riksstroke, a national quality registry for stroke care. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES With us, you will be an important part of an engaged multiprofessional team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, physicians, nursing assistants, social workers, and speech-language pathologists who work together to create safe, secure, and person-centered care. In your role as an occupational therapist, you will base your work on the patient's individual needs and resources. You will conduct assessments, evaluations, and rehabilitation interventions to strengthen the patient's ability to perform daily activities and independence. The work also includes testing and prescribing assistive devices as well as assessing the physical environment. This creates the conditions for a safe and functional daily life after the hospital stay. We value good collaboration and open dialogue between professions. Together, we share knowledge, plan interventions, and follow up on the patient's rehabilitation to achieve the best possible outcomes. You should be able to make professional decisions within your area of expertise. Information and conversations with patients and family members are therefore an important part of the work. Communication and cooperation are essential to ensure safe, high-quality care. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. Since travel may be part of the position, a Class B driver's license is required. Previous experience working in healthcare or rehabilitation with stroke patients is a merit. You are communicative and find it easy to build relationships with patients, family members, and colleagues. You see the value of working together with other professionals while being confident in taking your own initiative and independently driving your work forward. As a person, you are responsible, structured, and organized with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances. We also see that you are driven, solution-oriented, and quick to identify needs and opportunities for interventions. You have good analytical skills and are comfortable conducting assessments and evaluations as well as translating your observations into relevant actions.
