Together we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Working together with patients, we strive for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within a cohesive healthcare system in the Västra Götaland region. Our vision and goals are aimed at healthcare of the highest quality, where the patient is always in focus. We offer healthcare locally and regionally, but also highly specialized care to patients throughout the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength and they contribute to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify daily operations at the hospital and provide modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality. Description The Neuropsychiatric Clinic West is one of two neuropsychiatric clinics within Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The neuropsychiatric clinics assess and treat ADHD and Tourette's syndrome, and also assess autism. When there is concurrent psychiatric comorbidity, these conditions are typically treated at the clinic as well, provided the patient also has a diagnosis within the neuropsychiatric field. The clinic currently has approximately 3,000 active patients, making it one of the largest neuropsychiatric clinics in Sweden. The clinic is centrally located at Järntorget in Gothenburg, with good accessibility. Job Responsibilities As an occupational therapist at the clinic, you will primarily work with the treatment of ADHD, both individually and in groups. We offer several different group treatments tailored to patients' needs, where the occupational therapist plays a central role. You will also work individually with patients, primarily focusing on activation and structure in daily life. The work involves identifying activity goals and obstacles and opportunities in everyday life together with the patient. Based on this, you will develop functioning solutions and strategies, such as routines, time management, calendar support, and environmental adaptations. A large part of the individual work involves motivating and supporting the patient in change processes and providing psychoeducation. The work also includes assessments of the patient's activity capacity related to care needs or forms of compensation. Qualifications We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience working with patients with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Experience with work rehabilitation in collaboration with the Employment Agency or the Social Insurance Agency is also an asset. You have a natural ability to establish contact and motivate others to participate. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Neuropsychiatric healthcare is in an expansive development phase nationally, which requires flexibility and the ability to adapt working methods according to the activities' needs. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Terms Temporary position until August 31, 2027. Full-time (100 percent). Start as soon as possible or by agreement.
