The Pediatric Rehabilitation service in Borlänge is seeking an engaged occupational therapist who wants to be part of our competent and interdisciplinary team. Pediatric Rehabilitation is a specialist operation within Region Dalarna and is located in five places in the county. We work in teams with broad expertise within medicine, psychology, education, and social work. Our mission is to provide people with congenital or early-acquired disabilities with comprehensive specialist services to achieve the best possible functional ability and quality of life. We are now seeking a new colleague for our occupational therapy group at pediatric rehabilitation! Responsibilities As an occupational therapist with us, you work in close dialogue with the child, family, and our interdisciplinary team to promote activity and participation in everyday life. Your main responsibilities include: - Assessment and training of activity ability in everyday environments such as home, school, and leisure activities. - Prescription of assistive devices and certification for, for example, LSS and housing modifications. - Education and guidance to children, family members, and other professionals. - Collaboration with school, municipality, and healthcare to create the best conditions for the child. - Participation in method development and experience exchange with occupational therapists within the region. You will be offered an individually tailored introduction, supervision, and mentoring support to ensure a secure start with us. Qualifications We are looking for you who: - Are a licensed occupational therapist with an interest in rehabilitation and disabilities. - Have good collaboration skills and enjoy working both in a team and independently. - Have good communication skills and establish trusting relationships with patients, family members, and colleagues. - Have a Class B driver's license - as travel during work may occur. Meritorious: - Have experience in rehabilitation or working with children and young people with disabilities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
