About the Operation Vårdcentral Smedjebacken has approximately 7,100 registered residents. We operate a physician clinic, laboratory testing, healthcare advice, district nurse clinic, specialist nurses with their own clinics, child health center (BVC), midwifery clinic, diabetes, blood pressure, asthma/COPD, memory clinic, and we also have a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, rehabilitation coordinator, counseling clinic, risk/substance abuse clinic, and mental health care coordinator with their own clinic at the health center. The staffing consists of many different professional categories with broad expertise, and collaboration and use of each other's different knowledge is an important part of daily work. Our service hours are Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist for Smedjebacken Health Center. Occupational therapy in primary care is in an exciting development phase where our expertise is increasingly in demand. We have close and well-functioning collaboration with other professions such as physiotherapists, counselors/psychotherapists, physicians, rehabilitation coordinator, nurses, and healthcare assistants. Collaboration between professions we see as essential for development and a well-functioning health center. Work Areas: - Hand rehabilitation - Memory assessment - Patient and family/relative education (e.g., Arthritis School) - Assistive device fitting The work involves both individual interventions and teamwork with other professionals, where patient participation and independence are always in focus.
