Kubikenborg Aluminium AB is Sweden's only primary aluminum producer and one of the largest industrial companies in Sundsvall. The factory was built in 1942 and has a capacity to produce 130,000 tons of aluminum per year. The end product, consisting of ingots, is supplied to pressing and rolling mills throughout Europe. Kubal currently has 460 employees. We are seeking an engaged and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager who wants to lead and develop these areas at our factory in Sundsvall. The Occupational Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with Swedish occupational health and safety legislation, as well as internal policies and regulations. The role also covers disaster and crisis management and ensuring proper protection of company assets. The current Occupational Health and Safety Manager will remain to assist with the transition. Main areas of responsibility: · Be a visible occupational health and safety leader on site, actively participate in and promote daily occupational health and safety work. · Conduct safety rounds and assess physical, organizational, and social working environment, and follow up on the implementation of action plans for the entire factory. · Verify that equipment, tools, substances, and personal protective equipment are safe and compliant with regulations. · Ensure that rules, instructions, permits, and training related to occupational health and safety are in place and followed for all employees, visitors, and contractors. · Ensure internal and external reporting and statistical analysis of accidents and incidents throughout the factory and promote improvement plans to prevent recurrence. · Collaborate with the management team to ensure the factory's safety culture and drive the factory's EHS work in accordance with global and local key performance indicators. Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural sciences, safety science, or in an area that the employer deems equivalent · Previous work experience of 5+ years in a related industrial position · Strong knowledge of Swedish occupational health and safety legislation · Strong practical skills in implementing and driving safety-related improvements · Attention to detail and quality, with analytical ability · Ability to lead a team of people effectively and act as a team member · Experience with EHS management systems and Microsoft Office suite · Fluent Swedish and English (written and oral), all other languages are an advantage Meritorious: · Active membership in appropriate safety networks and organizations · Knowledge of ISO, IATF, and other certifications The position holder reports directly to the CEO, with functional reporting to EHS Rusal. The role is part of the factory's management team, leads the central safety committee, disaster and crisis management, and has four direct reports. The position is full-time and during daytime hours.
