Your work tasks
We are now seeking two labor market consultants for unit 4 with exciting assignments within our Working Life and Support activities.
As a labor market consultant, you work mainly operatively with participants in various labor market initiatives. We have a coaching approach and use motivational conversations with the goal of enabling participants to achieve self-support through studies or work. Your main responsibilities are to meet participants at both individual and group levels, both independently and together with colleagues, to support them on their journey toward self-sufficiency.
Participants receive guidance through job preparation group activities, individual support regarding job searching and the labor market, or through internships and labor market employment positions. The work involves many contact points – both internally with participants and colleagues and externally with other municipal actors, the Public Employment Service, and private actors.
Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring that the purpose and objectives of the initiative are well anchored with both the participant and the receiving organization. You also handle associated administration and follow-up, coordinate information meetings, and participate in developing our shared processes and routines.
Your workplace
Working Life and Support is part of the Integration and Labor Market Administration. The administration has a special responsibility for the labor market area, where the main mission is to include residents on financial assistance who are currently far from the labor market. The area also includes strategic and structural work for faster integration of vulnerable groups.
The goal of our mission is for as many as possible to achieve self-support through work or studies. Through internships, labor market employment positions, and education, the municipality also contributes to both its own and the business community's local competence supply.
We are located in pleasant premises in central Linköping. Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday, and we apply flexible working hours agreements.
You who apply
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in the labor market field, social and behavioral sciences, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. The position requires that you have previous experience and knowledge of work involving coaching people in need of support and assistance. It is a merit if you have experience working with financial assistance and/or labor market initiatives for people far from the labor market. If you also have experience meeting and working with individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF), substance abuse issues, and/or mental health problems, or have worked with MI as a conversation method, this is a merit.
The role requires good knowledge of Swedish in both speaking and writing, good computer skills, and documentation experience since written handling and daily contacts are part of the work. It is a merit if you have previously worked in the Lifecare business system and if you have a B driver's license.
To succeed in the role, you take responsibility, structure, and plan your work efficiently and independently. You handle complex issues well and have a good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge, which allows you to easily adapt your way of conveying messages to the recipient. Furthermore, you enjoy collaborating with other people and have an ability to understand others' perspectives or situations without losing your own professional approach. Finally, you value differences and have a natural understanding of how background, culture, and group membership affect both yourself and others in daily interactions.
