Do you want to make a concrete difference for people who are distant from the labor market? The Labor Market Unit at Oskarshamn Municipality works to create opportunities for residents who lack self-sufficiency or are outside the labor market to move closer to work or studies. The operation is now being developed further, partly due to new legislation on activity requirements for recipients of livelihood assistance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a labor market specialist, you have an important and meaningful assignment where you support participants in their path toward work, studies, or other labor market-related measures. You work closely with individuals and base your approach on each participant's circumstances, resources, and goals.
The role includes, among other things:
• conducting assessment and guidance conversations with participants
• developing, following up, and developing individual action plans together with the participant
• working with motivational conversations, coaching, and regular follow-up
• leading and participating in introduction and follow-up meetings
• collaborating with other labor market specialists, instructors, the social services department, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other relevant actors
• being the main contact with authorities, receiving activities, and external employers
• documenting participants' development, attendance, and relevant events according to established procedures
• together with other specialists, making decisions on placement within the Labor Market Unit's operations.
Work is conducted according to the BIP method and requires structure, relationship-building skills, and a solution-focused approach. The role is varied and suits you if you want to combine conversations, collaboration, documentation, and practical development work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in people and the ability to see individuals' strengths, possibilities, and potential. You are confident in meeting people in different life situations and have a professional, respectful, and responsible approach.
For this position, you must have:
• documented experience coaching and guiding people far from the labor market
• experience with documentation and administrative work
• excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• good computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite
• B driving license.
It is advantageous if you have experience with labor market measures, work with newly arrived immigrants or language-weak persons, work with people with disabilities, particularly NPF diagnoses, and experience with motivational conversations or other structured conversation methodology. Knowledge of the BIP model, solution-focused approach, Supported Employment, conflict management, or coaching/leadership training is also advantageous.
Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Indefinite; Start date: By agreement.
