DSV in Umeå is seeking an Operations Manager for a one-year contract to replace an employee on parental leave. The role involves leading and developing our terminal operations in Umeå together with the Terminal Manager. The Operations Manager role at DSV's terminal in Umeå suits you if you are driven to create the best possible quality and the highest productivity possible through decisive action and good leadership. The work tasks are varied, ranging from everyday operational tasks to more strategic matters. It is a responsible and stimulating position where there is opportunity for personal development. In this role, you have ongoing contact with several other functions within DSV and you drive development work within your area of responsibility together with the Terminal Manager. Your responsibilities include: Leading and directing daily operations (including daily meetings according to LEAN/100 principles) Ensuring that work methods, processes, and reporting procedures are followed Monitoring established goals and results, and addressing any shortcomings and deviations in your area (escalate to manager if necessary) Developing good collaboration with other departments and units Ensuring that we have the right level of competence within your area of responsibility Conducting development conversations with employees and holding information meetings for your group of employees at regular intervals Ensuring that guidelines regarding SAM (Systematic Work Environment Management) are followed Ensuring that equipment is maintained and serviced according to plan Managing property and security contracts We are looking for someone with experience in operations management and who shares our ambition to have satisfied customers and employees.
