DSV in Borlänge is seeking a shift supervisor for the afternoon shift who, together with the terminal manager, fellow shift supervisor, and the facility's staff, will lead and develop our terminal operations in Borlänge. The work tasks are varied, ranging from daily operational tasks to more strategic matters. It is a responsible and stimulating role where there is opportunity for personal development. In your role, you will be in ongoing contact with several other functions within DSV, and you will drive development work within your area of responsibility together with the terminal manager. Work Tasks and Responsibilities Your responsibilities include: Leading and directing daily operations (including daily meetings according to LEAN/100 principles) Ensuring that work methods, processes, and reporting routines are followed Monitoring established goals and outcomes, and addressing any shortcomings and deviations within your area (escalate to your manager if needed) Ensuring good collaboration with other departments and units Ensuring that we have the right level of competency within your area of responsibility Holding development conversations with employees and conducting information meetings for your group of employees at regular intervals Ensuring that guidelines regarding SAM (Systematic Work Environment Management) are followed Ensuring that equipment is maintained and serviced according to plan Management of property and security contracts The position includes personnel responsibility. We are seeking someone with experience in shift supervision and who shares our ambition to have satisfied customers and employees. Experience in terminal/logistics/transport is a merit, as is a forklift certification. You have good knowledge of MS Office and are experienced in conducting your work with the support of systems. Working hours are currently Monday to Friday 11:00-19:30. The position includes some on-call duty.
