Support for Self-Sufficiency (SEF) works to strengthen people's opportunities for participation, development, and increased independence. Within the unit, we offer various services for municipal residents who receive subsistence support and who need support to strengthen their opportunities for self-sufficiency. Arenan is one of our activities and is aimed at people aged 65 and older who receive subsistence support and need support to increase their participation in society, strengthen their resources, and create a meaningful everyday life. The activity is based on participants' needs, interests, and ideas. Participation and co-creation are central to our approach, where participants actively contribute to shaping the content of the activity. Our activities currently focus on health, nature, environment, and creative pursuits and are characterized by an inclusive, creative, and solution-focused approach. As a work consultant at Arenan, you plan, implement, and develop activities together with your colleagues. You build trusting relationships, motivate participants in their development, and encourage them to be co-creators in the activity. Through a responsive and individualized approach, you contribute to creating a meaningful and developmental environment for our participants. Your responsibilities At Arenan, no two days are the same. One day you lead an activity in nature, the next day you work with participants in a creative activity or plan new activities based on the group's ideas and needs. An important part of the assignment is also to collaborate with both internal and external actors to create opportunities for participants to engage in various arenas of society and find contexts, activities, and meeting places where they can participate and continue to develop. Together with participants and your colleagues, you create conditions for increased participation, community, and personal development. Your tasks include: Planning, implementing, and following up group activities within health, nature, environment, and creative pursuits, among others. Working in a motivating and supportive manner to strengthen participants' development, participation, and independence. Together with participants and colleagues, you develop the activity's content based on participants' interests, ideas, needs, and resources. Contributing to creating a safe social meeting place that promotes community and a sense of belonging. Working on language development by encouraging communication, participation, and learning in everyday situations. Collaborating with colleagues and other actors to create good conditions for participants' development. Documenting and following up on participants' individual planning and goals. You are part of an engaged team consisting of five work consultants where creativity, collaboration, and a solution-focused approach are important parts of the work. Together, you work to create activities and contexts that strengthen participants' opportunities to be active and engaged members of society. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in people and who meets both participants and colleagues with respect, commitment, and responsiveness. You are flexible, solution-focused, and can adapt your approach based on participants' and the activity's needs. To thrive in this role, you also need to be organized and able to plan, implement, and follow up on your work. You see people's strengths and want to help create an activity that strengthens participation, development, and community. Requirements: - Relevant post-secondary education in, for example, social work, behavioral science, pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. - Experience with motivating, supportive, and developmental work with people who need individually adapted support to strengthen their participation and development. - Experience working with people whose native language is not Swedish. - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. - Good computer skills and experience with documentation. - Class B driving license. Meritorious: - Experience working with Motivational Interviewing (MI). Your personal qualities: - Good demeanor toward participants and colleagues. - Ability to engage and motivate participants. - Ability to lead groups and create participation. - Good collaborative skills and enjoy working in a team. - Flexible and solution-focused. - Work in an organized manner.
