Welcome to us We are looking for a temporary work instructor with experience working in a restaurant kitchen for one of our kitchens at Glasade Gångens daily activity programs. The temporary position is for one year with the possibility of extension. Glasade Gångens daily activity program is a vocational daily activity program within LSS. Our goal is to be as similar to an activity in society as possible, and we currently have five units. These consist of Restaurant Glasade Gången, Café Hitom, Café Glasklart which operates Konstfack's café activities, these three are located at Telefonplan in Hägersten. We also have a delicatessen shop in Gröndal where we, among other things, manufacture our own chocolate on site. We also run Café Glasade Gården which is located in Stockholm's City Hall. At Restaurant Glasade Gången and Café Hitom we also have conference rooms available for rent that are booked by both the city's own activities and external companies. Our success factor is our vocational orientation and staff who work with us have experience/education in pedagogical work as well as solid knowledge of working in kitchens, bakeries, or with service. Your role We are looking for a work instructor with solid kitchen experience for our activity at Restaurant Glasade Gången. The unit has a lunch restaurant and a conference facility. The restaurant and conference are open to the public Monday through Friday during daytime and serves approximately 120-150 portions daily. As a work instructor you guide a group of cooks, all of whom are adults with intellectual disabilities. Your main tasks consist of planning, organizing, and distributing work tasks to the participants in the activity, as well as being responsible for following routines and documenting according to the unit's self-inspection regarding food hygiene HACCP, and developing recipes. The activity has a work leader on site who plans the daily work for the work instructors. We are looking for you who have/are: • good knowledge of food hygiene, service, cooking, portion calculations, and raw material knowledge, and several years of experience working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen. • high work ethic and collaborate easily with your colleagues. It is important that you see and treat participants and dining guests in a pleasant and professional manner. • calm, stable, and can maintain composure in challenging situations, and have a clear, motivating, and encouraging approach that helps participants develop in their professional roles. • working to promote independence and participation for people in need of support. • good collaboration skills and shall cooperate with other professional groups such as work leaders, occupational therapists, and social workers to create the best possible support. • pedagogical and able to guide participants in the activity with their work tasks. • holistic perspective and ensure that participants, guests, and visitors receive the best possible service. It is important in the role of work instructor that you are organized, structured, and used to working at a fast pace. You can plan your work and meet deadlines. You will be a support person for participants in the daily activity program and thus have the obligation to document and prepare implementation plans in the city's documentation system ParaSol. You shall be able to work independently as well as in a team. Your competence and experience • Education and several years of experience working in restaurants and service. • Experience with the target group within LSS. • We see that you have pedagogical education and experience, such as children and recreation, care and support, or equivalent education or experience that counts as relevant. • You shall be pedagogical and responsive, and we see that you have knowledge of low-affect interactions and clarifying pedagogy as well as AAC. • We see that you are flexible, stress-resistant, organized, punctual, and service-oriented. • You have good communication skills – you shall be able to interact with people with different needs in a respectful and clear manner. • You have a good basic view of people and can recognize each individual's interests and abilities.
