Our main mission is to shorten the time to sustainable employment by helping job seekers get closer to work or studies. Culture Media and Maritime is a national division within the Swedish Public Employment Service that provides support and service to job seekers and employers throughout the country. Contacts take place primarily remotely and, when needed, through physical meetings. For a job seeker to be registered with Culture Media and Maritime, certain criteria must be met within specific occupational areas. As an employment advisor, your task is to support these job seekers; you don't need to have a professional background in culture, media, or maritime yourself. Our Workplace We work together where collaboration and collegial support are central to creating a vibrant atmosphere. The office is centrally located in Malmö, and you'll have support from about 15 colleagues with similar responsibilities. Together, we work toward common goals and can always count on each other's support in our daily work. Our leadership means we lead with results in mind, using a close and coaching approach that encourages participation, motivation, and accountability. Role Description We're looking for employment advisors who want to work with matching, guidance, and support for job seekers across the country. As an employment advisor, you focus on the job seeker and are an important support on their path to work or studies. A central part of the role is to match and guide job seekers toward employment and education, as well as make decisions about support measures. The work requires you to be curious, able to understand different situations, and have the ability to make complex information simple and understandable. To succeed in this role, we see that you thrive with: Providing support and solving the tasks you're faced with in a good way Interpreting and applying laws and regulations Making decisions Matching and guiding job seekers toward work and studies Working with job seekers primarily by phone Working with scheduled assignments Navigating and working in multiple systems simultaneously Working toward set goals Your employment will begin with an introduction where you'll be well equipped with the necessary skills to handle your upcoming tasks as a civil servant. Basic Requirements for the Position University/college education of at least 180 credits (120 credits under the previous system) Alternatively Have worked at the Swedish Public Employment Service as an employment advisor And At least 2 years of work experience, totaling work of at least 50 percent over a combined two years Very good knowledge of Swedish, meaning good ability to communicate verbally and in writing, as well as high reading comprehension Other Merits for the Position Worked at least 1 year with support and service via phone Worked at least 1 year within government operations Worked at least 1 year with guidance toward work and/or studies The government's core values guide us in our daily work. Our Offer The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. The work location is Malmö. We offer favorable vacation agreements, opportunity for flexible hours by agreement with your employer (after completing the introduction period of approximately 9 weeks), wellness activities during work time, and a wellness allowance.
