The Section's Mission Within special sections of the Swedish Public Employment Service, there are specialists for job seekers who have disabilities related to vision, deafness, and hearing. The specialists are audiologists, deaf consultants, vision specialists, and psychologists, as well as employment advisors with a SIUS specialization. The section is responsible for Dalarna, but other counties in the North region may also be included. The goal of our work is to create full participation and equality for people with the aforementioned disabilities by providing them with support and creating conditions for employment or education. Job Description SIUS stands for Special Introduction and Follow-up Support – a method aimed at supporting people with disabilities to find, obtain, and retain employment. The method is based on individually tailored support, both for the job seeker and the employer, to create long-term and sustainable employment relationships. As an employment advisor with a SIUS specialization, you have a key role in contributing to a more inclusive labor market. You work to identify and highlight the job seeker's competence, abilities, and motivations, with the goal of matching these against employers' needs. An important part of your assignment is to actively and proactively engage with employers. You take your own initiative to establish and develop business contacts, market the Public Employment Service's support to employers, and create new employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The work also involves continuously working the labor market within the county where you operate, following up on contacts, and building long-term partnerships with companies and organizations. You work closely with colleagues within the section and with other stakeholders, where together you contribute to more job seekers having the opportunity to enter the labor market. The position involves regular travel within Dalarna, but travel within the North region may also occur. Our Offer The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The work location is Borlänge. Basic Requirements for the Position Approved upper secondary education, which is demonstrated through a certificate in the form of final grades, upper secondary diploma, or vocational upper secondary diploma Alternatively You have been employed as an employment advisor at the Swedish Public Employment Service and are assessed to have good prospects of meeting current requirements for employment advisors And At least 2 years of work experience, cumulative work of at least 50 percent over a total of 2 years Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning good ability to communicate, and high written and reading comprehension Class B driver's license Other Merits for the Position University/college education of at least 180 credits (120 credits according to the previous system) Experience with outreach employer work and business contacts for the purpose of finding placements for job seekers Experience working with people who have visual and/or hearing impairments, and people who are deaf Experience coaching or guiding job seekers with various types of obstacles in working life Good knowledge of sign language The state's core values guide us in our daily work.
