Do you have experience in qualified investigative work and want to contribute to creating a purposeful and efficient state administration? We are currently recruiting several investigators to our new investigative department. Your Role and Responsibilities At the Swedish Agency for Public Management, you will have a knowledge-sharing and collaborative project organization with stimulating daily tasks and great opportunities to influence your own work situation. With us, you will participate in the entire investigative process, from project and work planning to presentation and reporting. You will alternate between being a project manager and project team member, where together with engaged colleagues you investigate, analyze, make assessments, and provide sharp proposals and conclusions to the government, with the aim of contributing to the development and efficiency of state administration. This could involve, for example, developing the government's governance, management, and organization of authorities and operations. Assignments vary in length but typically run for 4 to 12 months. You will be part of the Department for Effective Public Administration, which works on the agency's overarching task of promoting purposeful and efficient state administration and good stewardship of state resources. We do this through investigations, evaluations, and follow-ups of state and state-funded activities, as well as by developing and managing economic governance and reporting in the state. We are also responsible for promoting good administrative culture and work against corruption. We also develop work with impact assessments and guide authorities and committees on these matters. An important task for the department is to provide the government with materials for state reviews and efficiency improvements. The department is newly established and consists of five units that work in projects and investigations based on a matrix principle. This means that regardless of which unit you belong to, you will work together with colleagues from the other units. Since the department is new, we are in a testing and development phase regarding working methods and processes. You therefore have the opportunity to help shape the future of the department. Your Background and Competence We are looking for someone with: - An academic degree in law, economics, political science, or another relevant field - Several years of experience in qualified investigative and analytical work related to governance, management, organization, financing, or efficiency within public operations - Project management experience - Very good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish It is meritable if you have: - Experience using AI tools for text and data processing - Experience with and knowledge of economic and operational management in the state - Experience conducting review analyses within public operations - Knowledge of legislative work - Experience working at both a public authority and the Government Offices Your Personal Qualities You have good judgment, strong analytical ability, and can translate complex information into easily understandable messages.
