You will become part of the Recreation Unit, which is responsible for operating several of Borlänge Municipality's sports facilities. You will be based at Sportfältet and become part of a dedicated team working together on operations, maintenance, and upkeep. In your daily work, you will also have close contact with the Association Service and other parts of the Culture and Recreation Administration. WORK TASKS As a facilities manager, you will have a varied day where you work both practically and with a service-oriented approach. One day you might be maintaining a sports hall, and the next day you might need to solve something at an outdoor facility. You will work on the operation and maintenance of our sports facilities and ensure that they are well-maintained, functional, and ready to use. Your role includes work with ice maintenance, sports halls, artificial turf, grass areas, and other ongoing facility maintenance. You will use machinery and equipment in your work and need to be able to assess what needs to be done, prioritize between different tasks, and ensure that the work is completed in a good and safe manner. You have many contact points in your daily work and will meet colleagues, associations, and other people in Borlänge who use our facilities. Therefore, your interactions are an important part of the job. You need to be able to listen to needs, provide service, and at the same time be clear about what is possible. The work takes place mainly during daytime. Because our facilities are used by many different activities, you need to be prepared for your workday to change and for new needs to sometimes arise with short notice. This is part of the variety and also one of the things that makes the role fun. Simply put, we're looking for you if you like to get things working. You don't need to know everything from the start, but you need to be practically minded, curious, and have the desire to solve whatever comes up. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with completed upper secondary education and experience working as a facilities manager or in other positions where you've been able to use your practical skills. You have experience working with wheel loaders and/or tractors and have a Category B driver's license. Because you have many contacts in your work, you also need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have experience with facility maintenance or lawn care. Other driving license categories and knowledge of languages other than Swedish are also merits.
