The Role of Part-Time Substitute As a part-time substitute with us, you have one of the school's most important tasks – to ensure that operations run smoothly and securely even when regular staff are absent. The work is varied and you may be called in with short notice (often in the morning) or book shifts in advance. Your work tasks may include: Assisting with daily activities in the preschool or after-school program. Assisting with or teaching lessons in school/pre-K class based on the regular teacher's planning. Being an active, present and stable adult during breaks and outdoor activities. Creating a secure, structured and stimulating environment for the children/students. Who Are We Looking For? We're looking for you – someone who is a secure presence or a stable role model and who has a genuine interest in children's development and learning. Since work days can shift quickly, you need to be flexible, resourceful and comfortable collaborating with people from different backgrounds and ages. Qualifications: You are at least 18 years old and have completed upper secondary education. You are punctual, responsible and have a professional and calm demeanor. You have the ability to communicate well and build good relationships with children, colleagues and guardians. Meritorious: Previous experience working in preschool, school or after-school programs is a great plus – we value the knowledge and stability that you bring from your years in education. Education in pedagogy (e.g., childcare provider, teacher student or Montessori training). Knowledge of or interest in Montessori pedagogy. Legal Requirements: To work in schools and childcare, a valid extract from the police's criminal record is required.
